1. Freedom Over Texas 2025

Location: Eleanor Tinsley Park

Time: 4PM to 10PM

About: Freedom Over Texas features several musical acts, including headlining performers Lee Brice and Ashley McBryde.

“This year’s Freedom Over Texas is an event filled with six-hours of festivities, tradition, and live concert stages, along Allen Parkway. Freedom Over Texas will feature local, regional, and national entertainment and will be capped off with a musically choreographed, “Texas-sized” fireworks finale. This event has become Houston’s annual signature July 4th celebration with an average of 50,000 people in attendance and is televised live in Houston. The event will solicit television affiliates from across the state of Texas to simulcast a portion of the event. Freedom Over Texas will feature a unique non-profit component that joins forces with the Houston Food Bank to help fill an extraordinary demand in our regional community. The event will donate a percentage of food and beverage sales to the Houston Food Bank. We look forward to enjoying a fun, engaging, and safe event for our nation’s birthday.”

2. South County 4th of July Parade

Date: Friday

Location: The Woodlands Town Center and Market Street

Time: 9AM

About: “This grand patriotic event, the largest parade between Houston and Dallas, celebrates with fire engines, floats, marching bands, military units, and much more.  It begins at 9:00 a.m., winding through The Woodlands Town Center and Market Street, with pre-parade entertainment starting at 8:00 a.m. in Market Street. Parade announcers, including Emcees located above the North Commons in Market Street will guide the event.  A panel of Community Celebrity Parade Judges will select the best entries in ten award categories. This year’s theme, “Wings of Liberty: Celebrating the Bald Eagle,” honors the Bald Eagle as the U.S. National Bird, symbolizing independence, strength, courage and patriotism.”

3. City of Bellaire Celebration of Independence

Date: Friday

Location: South Rice and Valerie St

Time: 9AM to 12PM

About: “The City of Bellaire invites you to a Celebration of Independence Parade and Festival! The parade will begin at 9:00 AM, followed by the festival.”

4. 4th of July Celebration on Skylawn

Date: Friday

Location: POST Houston

Time: 5PM to 10PM

About: “Join us for a celebration of America with a rooftop view of the City of Houston’s firework show, Freedom Over Texas. We’ll also have multiple cirque performers, complimentary balloon artists and face painting, delicious food, multiple bars on the roof, live performances by Houston Brass Band and the best cover band in Texas – Alias Band – jamming out all your favorite hits!”

5. Galveston Island 4th of July Parade

Date: Friday

Location: Galveston Seawall

Time: 6PM to 8PM

About: “Celebrate Independence Day with our annual 4th of July Parade along the Seawall! The parade kicks off at 6:00PM on Friday, July 4th, as a festive lineup of Jeeps, golf carts, and decorated vehicles rolls from 22nd Street to 45th Street in a patriotic display.”

6. Galveston Island 4th of July Fireworks Show

Date: Friday

Location: Galveston Seawall

Time: 9PM to 10PM

About: “Right after the 4th of July Parade, grab a spot along the Seawall and get ready for the show—fireworks begin at 9:15 PM. The best views are between 27th and 37th Streets, but you’ll be able to see the display from just about anywhere on the island. Bring a lawn chair, kick back, and enjoy the grand finale to a day of celebration.”

7. Kemah Boardwalk 4th of July Celebration

Location: Kemah Boardwalk

Time: 2PM to 11PM

8. The Woodlands Fireworks

Date: Friday

Location: Waterway Square District

Time: 9:30PM

About: “The Fireworks Extravaganza will take place at approximately 9:30 p.m. The primary fireworks display will be located near Northshore Park and Lake Woodlands, with a secondary close-proximity (special effects) display at Town Green Park. The 2025 Fireworks Extravaganza will also feature a fireworks display in the Waterway Square District off the Waterway Square Parking Garage and Rob Fleming Park in the Village of Creekside Park.”

9. Star Spangled Salute Produced by Houston Symphony

Date: Friday

Location: Miller Outdoor Theatre
