Join Corey Dillion from 93Q & Doug O’Brien from Houston’s Eagle as we broadcast LIVE from the corner of Preston and Smith at the start of the parage route.
Here is some important info to know about the parade.
The victory parade will begin at noon.
The parade will span between 1.7 to 3 miles, double the length compared to last year, according to HPD Police Chief Troy Finner. The parade will begin at Smith Street and Preston Street and will head straight down toward Tuam Street on the west side of downtown.
Officials said Houstonians are expected to face delays and detours if headed toward downtown.
METRO officials said attendees should plan ahead and give themselves extra time to arrive at their destination. Service delays may occur. Visit the METRO website for more details.
Officials have provided the following tips before the parade:
- Use public transportation such as METRO if commuting to the downtown area, or rideshares such as Green Link.
- Hydrate! Weather for tomorrow will be mostly sunny in the 80s.
- Do not pack/squish one another. Have some space when possible.
- Pack food such as sandwiches, drinks, etc., especially for the kids.
- Wear your sunscreen, if possible.
- Wear your Astros gear!
